Network Fee

This page provides an overview of network fee.

Network fees are the charges incurred when making a transaction on the Kaspa network. These fees are paid to miners as compensation for their efforts in securing the network. The fee amount varies depending on the network's current load; higher activity leads to higher fees.

Our system calculates the fee by selecting the middle value between the priority and lowest available fee rates, but prioritizes the lowest fee when network activity is low. This approach ensures transactions remain fast and cost-effective.

Currently, users cannot set the fee rate explicitly. However, we plan to introduce this feature in the near future, along with an adjustable upper-limit constraint to help business owners control the maximum transaction fees they are willing to pay.
